SPCC Plans

SPCC Plans are required on any facility with a capacity of 1320 gallons or more. SPCC Plans are valid for a term of 5 years. SCO-JO Environmental prides itself on being the leader in Spill Prevention, Control and countermeasure (SPCC) Plans.  We work hand in hand with the EPA to provide the most up-to-date and thorough plan available.

THE RULE The Environmental Protection Agency's Oil Pollution Prevention Rule became effective January 10, 1974. The regulation may be found at 40 CFR Part 112. Facilities subject to the rule must prepare and implement a plan to prevent any discharge of oil into or upon navigable waters of the United States or adjoining shorelines. The Plan is called a Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plan.

THE PLAN  Spills of hazardous materials, hazardous waste, or petroleum products can have negative impacts on public health and the environment. Our SPCC plan helps to prepare and organize employees to handle small spills, drips, and leaks occurring during normal, daily operations, as well as more catastrophic spills.

THE SOLUTION  SCO-JO Environmental provides the most accurate and up-to-date SPCC Plans available. Our plans put your protection first. They are site specific and go beyond EPA requirements. Our field agents are fully trained and qualified, we will get the job done with your convenience in mind and will treat you with the utmost respect. Information gathered from each site is then computed by our Registered Petroleum Engineer. The final plans are then complied and delivered directly to you.
